About ZilkerBark

ZilkerBark produces some of the most beloved dog-centered events in Texas, including the Golden Retriever Meetup, Great Pug Meetup, and Texas Wienerfest. Our events bring together thousands of attendees, hundreds of dogs, and top-tier sponsors for highly curated, experience-driven gatherings.

We’re looking for a Senior Event Producer to help lead the planning and execution of these events alongside our founder and event leadership team.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, loves logistics and problem-solving, and enjoys bringing large-scale experiences to life.

Role Overview

The Event Operations Manager is responsible for turning high-level event vision into smooth, on-the-ground execution. This role owns logistics, coordination, planning support, and operational follow-through across all ZilkerBark events.

You’ll work closely with the founder and event leadership to ensure timelines, vendors, permits, staffing, and event-day execution are handled with precision.

This is a hands-on role that blends planning, coordination, and on-site leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Operations

  • Support multi-event planning across the annual ZilkerBark calendar

  • Manage large event executions with just two weeks between events

  • Assist with event timelines, run-of-show documents, and execution plans

  • Coordinate logistics including load-in/out, layout planning, staging, and utilities

  • Help manage permitting, inspections, and city requirements

  • Track operational needs such as power, water, fencing, signage, and equipment

Vendor, Partner & Sponsor Coordination

  • Support communication with vendors, partners, and service providers

  • Assist with contracts, confirmations, and logistics coordination

  • Help manage sponsor activations and on-site execution

  • Track deliverables and ensure expectations are met

Operations & Execution Support

  • Assist with staffing coordination and on-site operations

  • Help manage day-of logistics and problem-solving

  • Support post-event wrap-up, reporting, and documentation

  • Track revenue-related items, vendor costs, and operational notes

Growth & Planning Support

  • Assist with researching new event opportunities and concepts

  • Support growth initiatives, partnerships, and expansion planning

  • Contribute to post-event analysis, feedback, and improvements

  • Help document systems and processes for future scalability

Administrative & Organizational Support

  • Maintain timelines, task lists, and shared documentation

  • Assist with contract tracking and compliance

  • Support CRM or partner pipeline organization

  • Help ensure clear communication across all stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Experience with events, logistics, operations, or production

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments

  • Clear communicator who can coordinate across teams

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and solution-driven

  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively

  • Willingness to be hands-on during event days

Nice to Have

  • Experience with festivals, large-scale events, or brand activations

  • Familiarity with vendors, permits, or venue coordination

  • Experience working with sponsors or partners

  • Comfort with spreadsheets, timelines, and project tracking tools

Compensation & Structure

  • Contract-based role with consistent monthly workload
